About Grand Strand Door Pros
We are an advertising and referral service for garage door work in Myrtle Beach and along the Grand Strand. We are not a garage door company, and we say so up front because you should know who you are talking to before a technician is in your garage.

How it works
You call the number on this site or send a request. That reaches us, and we pass it to an independent local garage door company that covers your part of the Strand. They call you back, look at the door, quote the job and do the work, and your agreement is with them. There is no charge to you for the introduction.
Why the site exists
Search for garage door repair in Myrtle Beach and much of what comes back is directory listings, social media posts and national call centres that sell the job on to whoever is free. Meanwhile some of the best garage door people on the Grand Strand are small local outfits who are on ladders all day and have no time to build a website. This site is the front door for that kind of company, and the guides are written so a homeowner knows what they are looking at before anyone arrives.
What we will and will not tell you
The advice here is written for this stretch of coast: salt air on springs and rollers, humidity in opener boards, wind-rated doors in a hurricane-prone county, and the permit split between the city, Horry County and the other towns. Where the honest answer is that a door needs a spring and not a replacement, or that a problem is a sensor you can realign yourself, that is what these pages say.
What this site does not have
No testimonials, no star ratings, no gallery of finished doors. That is deliberate. We have not done the work and did not collect the reviews, so publishing either would be inventing a track record. The photographs on this site are stock and illustrative; none of them show a job we carried out, because we do not carry out jobs. Judge the site on whether the advice is accurate and useful.
Licensing
We are not a licensed contractor and we do not repair or install garage doors. The company your request goes to is responsible for its own licensing, business licences and insurance, and you are entitled to ask to see them before work starts. South Carolina's Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation has an online lookup for state-licensed and registered contractors, and the City of Myrtle Beach requires contractors working inside the city to hold a city business license.
Questions people actually ask
How do you make money if the call is free?
The garage door company that takes the job pays for the introduction. You pay them for the work at whatever you agree, and nothing you pay is affected by us. That is why the guides can tell you when a repair is cheaper than a new door.
How is the company chosen?
By whether they cover your area and can get to you in a sensible time. Your details are not auctioned to several companies who then all call you.
Will lots of companies call me?
No. Your request goes to one local company. If they are not the right fit, tell us.
What if the repair goes wrong?
Your agreement and the warranty are with the company that did the work, so take it up with them first. Tell us as well; the arrangement only works if the company we send people to does good work.
Can I see reviews?
Not from us. This site launched in 2026 and has no review history of its own, and we will not invent one. Ask the company that quotes you where to read their reviews.
